THE NATURE ISLE
Nicknamed ‘the Nature Isle’ Dominica is a lush, tropical, mountainous and breathtakingly beautiful country only 100 miles south of Antigua. If you love Antigua and its beaches, but like the idea of a few days experiencing another island you could not get anywhere so close and yet so different.
It has the densest concentration of active volcanoes in the entire world, and geologically is still a relatively young country. Its unique terrain and history mean that hiking mountains, jumping in rivers, canyoning down waterfalls, or watching whales are the order of they day. For those who love to relax, the sulphur springs and spas around the islands ‘hotspots’ will make for a wonderful end to any day

Seaborne Airlines, LIAT and Winair run daily services into the two airports – Douglas-Charles Airport (formerly Melville Hall) on the North East Coast, and Canefield on the South West Coast and close to the capital Roseau. There is also a private plane available through Extreme Dominica.
