Marketeers are referring to Antigua as the festival capital of the Caribbean, and they are not wrong. Whether is the craziness, colour and culture of carnival, the excitement of a fresh catch (and then eating it), or the sleek beauty of yachts up to 110 years old sailing by, there is surely something for everyone. On this page you will find links to all the key annual events on the Antigua Event Calendar. A & B INTERNATIONAL KITE FESTIVAL Kite flying is a preferred activity all over the Caribbean over Easter, and Antigua is no exception. The sunny Antiguan skies are filled with colorful kites guided by young and old.

ANNUAL SEAFOOD FESTIVAL is an abundance of different seafood on display that tantalizes the taste buds. From crabs and conchs to fish and lobster, there is a dish to suit every taste.

ANTIGUA & BARBUDA INDEPENDENCE FESTIVAL Antigua gained total independence on November 1st 1981. The festival consists of a week of celebration, competitions, parades, expos and food fairs – for all Antiguans living both home and abroad and residents of Antigua, as well as visitors.

ANTIGUA & BARBUDA LITERARY FESTIVAL is an annual 3-day celebration of literary arts, with workshops, author readings, book signings and special events in a beautiful tropical setting.

ANTIGUA & BARBUDA SPORT FISHING ASSOCIATION Information on the annual Antigua and Barbuda Sport Fishing Tournament held in June.

ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA MANGO FESTIVAL A festival celebrating the mango fruit, that is plentiful in Antigua.

ANTIGUA CARNIVAL takes place for two weeks yearly at the end of July into early August, and is one huge party in the streets of St. John's the capital.

ANTIGUA CHARTER YACHT SHOW One of the largest Charter Yacht Shows in the World, marks the start of the Caribbean yachting season.

ANTIGUA CLASSIC YACHT REGATTA One of the most renowned yacht races in the world which takes place in April each year.

ANTIGUA EXPERIENCE is a cocktail party and expo where visitors from the Antigua Charter Yacht Meeting can discover the many things Antigua has to offer while enjoying themselves socially.

ANTIGUA SAILING WEEK One of the premier sailing regattas in the world, Antigua Sailing Week welcomes participants from all corners of the globe.

BARBUDA CARIBANA The island's carnival is always over the long Whit weekend and is five days full of pageantry, dance, calypso and fun.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH is a national annual celebration for remembrance of important people and events in the history of the African ethnicity. It is celebrated during the month of February.

CHRISTMAS IN ANTIGUA Christmas is a family holiday so locals cook and spend the day at home welcoming visitors. For visitors from far away who don't have family on the island there is a Champagne Party on Nelson's Dockyard.

FINCHAM’S FOLLIES a major theatrical musical extravaganza held annually in aid of charity. It will take place in the grounds of Reef Gardens on Dockyard Drive.

FITNESS MADNESS is an exciting initiative to inspire the country to become more active and health-conscious.

ICT FEST ANTIGUA is a three day technology roadshow throughout the Caribbean. The Antigua leg of the roadshow is host to a number of exhibitors from all the technology companies operating in the country.

INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ANTIGUA BARBUDA Each year the MPAAB, in partnership with the Caribbean Film Corner, (a UK based film company) will host the island's annual Film Festival during November. This week will feature a number of activities including a selection of lectures from regional and international film professionals designed for film enthusiasts, to be held over a period of three days.

JOLLY HARBOUR VALENTINE'S REGATTA & RUM FESTIVAL Building on the very successful Jolly Harbour Valentine’s Regatta which is now in its 20th year, in 2013 the regatta goes international. Racing and rum.....where sailing meets fun!

RORC CARIBBEAN 600 is a 600 mile race around the Caribbean islands starting from Antigua.

RUSSIAN BUSINESS CARIBBEAN SAILING WEEK 250 Russians arrived in Antigua for a week of sailing in turquoise waters combined with excellent parties.
