SLIPSTREAM COLLECTING ITEMS FOR AID TRIP TO BARBUDA
Wednesday 7th November 2018

M/Y Slipstream is currently in Palma and is planning to collect and deliver aid items once again to Barbuda when they make their crossing later this month. In Palma, items can be brought over to the boat, and once Slipstream arrives in Antigua in December, they will collect other aid items if they have additional space.

Read the details from Steve Osborne, Rotational Captain, in his appeal for items, and view the list of needed items below:

“We are pleased to let you know that M/Y Slipstream is planning to transport charitable donations from Palma destined for Barbuda. Jean Luc, from ECOMER has provided us with a list of essential items from last year’s campaign (read list below), which we hope to collect what we can from yacht crew and companies in Palma before our departure towards the end of November. Captain Phil will be in command and is intending to arrive in Antigua sometime around the 12th of December. From here, continuing on to Barbuda to deliver what we have collected in Palma, and any aid that is already in Antigua that we can practically transport.

Please look over the list and if there are any items that are not priority then please let us know, so we can focus on the essentials. Unfortunately, we don’t have as much space as we did last year but will still take what we can. I think it would be best to focus on less bulky items, and more on smaller items that we could take more of.

We still have several weeks to collect items but need to start letting people know. If you could please start to promote the campaign through your contact lists. We are located in STP in Palma.

Thank you all for your help.

If anyone is planning on bringing items over to us, if I could please ask that you make an inventory of your donations and email it to me on the posted email address. This will very helpful in compiling a detailed manifest for customs for our arrival in Antigua.”
