INCLEMENT WEATHER FORCES REGIONAL UNDER 17 POSTPONEMENT
Monday 12th December 2011

St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board, today announced that the WICB Regional Under 17 Tournament scheduled for Trinidad and Tobago during the period December 10th to 20th has been postponed.

The decision was taken after consultation with the relevant stakeholders.

The postponement is due to the heavy rains in Trinidad over the past two weeks which has left several match venues waterlogged and this situation has hampered the pitch preparation process.

Further, more inclement weather is forecast in the coming weeks and this would likely affect the playing of matches.

The WICB will give consideration to the tournament being played in June-July 2012. The WICB will make an announcement at a later date.
