Digicel continues its support of football development today by renewing its sponsorship with the Urlings Football Club for a second year.

The signing ceremony was held at Digicel’s corporate offices and was attended by members of the Urlings football team administration including President Dennis Roberts.

The team was recently promoted to premiere league this year and credited its success to the unwavering support from Digicel throughout last season.

 “We are grateful for Digicel’s support for another year as this has contributed to our continued success and overall development as a team. With Digicel’s support, we will work hard to maintain our success in the league which we hope will encourage aspiring young footballers to be a part of the team and proudly represent their community,”  Roberts said.

Digicel Antigua and Barbuda Sponsorship and Public Relations Manager Troy Byrne said, “Digicel remains committed to football development in Antigua and Barbuda at all levels. We are happy to be continuing our support of the Urlings Football Club and to see its continued success.

 “The promotion of the Urlings Football Club to the top flight premier league is testament to the hard work that has been put in by the players, coaches and other members of staff and we wish them all the best this season.”

The team is currently on a winning streak and hopes to continue as they prepare to face Five Island football team on Sunday.
