DIGICEL CPL WINNERS CALL TRIP TO ST. KITTS "EPIC"
Friday 22nd August 2014

“I had a blast; I got to experience cricket at its best” – Laurisa Francis

As part of its Limacol CPL promotion, Digicel flew 22 winners plus their companions to St. Kitts for an all-expenses paid trip to watch the CPL final, including two nights’ accommodation at the Marriott Hotel.

The winners flew to St. Kitts on Friday morning, the eve of the final and were given VIP treatment from the moment they arrived. Having settled in at the hotel, some winners took the liberty of experiencing St. Kitts night life and even attended the Rick Ross concert as hosted by the CPL as part of the entertainment for finals week.

Laurisa Francis, one of the winners, described the CPL final match with one word; “epic”, further saying “I had a blast; I got to experience cricket at its best. The energy and the atmosphere were electrifying, and I would like to thank Digicel for giving us this opportunity to travel to St. Kitts, as I now have memories that will last a lifetime.”

Laurisa won this trip for participating in the Digicel Fit For Life campaign and lost the most weight by percentage with her Torturer Gym colleague, Either Hunte, who was the biggest weight loser of 43 lbs in the competition.

Digicel staff members were also given the opportunity to participate in the promotion as well. The winners were Davia Richards, Marlon George and Jamal Lewis.

Jamal was selected as the top retail agent for July and August based on his overall performance including individual target achievements, customer interactions, exhibiting the qualities of a good team player and going the extra mile. For his hard work, Jamal admitted that the trip came at a good time and he was able to make new friends with the other winners.

Shelana George, chaperone for the winners, said, “The promotion was unique as this is the first we’ve a promotion with so many winners traveling to another country at the same time, so we had to make sure we had the logistics worked out properly. A trip is amazing when everyone tells you that this is the best thing that has happened to them and literally everyone said this to us as we came back to Antigua. It was so amazing that some of the winners are currently planning their next trip. We are happy that they had a good time as that was the aim of this prize,” she ended.

The other winners who made the trip were: Ira Lashley, Maria Husain, Jernelle Williams, Kelroy Samuel, Elizabeth Abbott, Marvin Charles, Tashawn Daniel, Abdel Mitchell, Nora O’garro, Kareem Bailey, Sonilda Williams, Joshwin Morgan, Erni Etienne, Raslyn Jacobs, Isoke Perry, Nicole Browne and Alphonsine Bleau.
