Press Release: The first Digicel Brighten Someone’s Christmas roadshow kicked off in the village of Freetown on Saturday the 23^rd. It was an exciting evening for the community with lots of entertainment for the children including, a bouncy castle, face painting, video games and Santa also made a special appearance to deliver gifts.

 

The evening was topped off with ten (10) lucky Digicel customers competing to see who would walk away with weekly grand prize of $10,000. It was an enthusiastic group of participants but one lucky customer – Karian Loague of Nutgrove, walked away with grand prize.

 

Janice Sutherland, Commercial Manager was as the event and commented that “Karian’s story is simply the reason why we love our Christmas Campaign.   Karian’s daughter lives in Jamaica and she has not seen her in over 2 years.   She shed simple tears of joy when she won because she can now be reunited with her daughter over the Christmas season.” Janice further stated that “We hoped individuals will use these funds to make a difference to their lives and it was clear from Karian’s emotions that she was overwhelmed by the opportunity that having this cash prize now afforded her.”

 

The Digicel Brighten Someone’s Christmas Campaign will reward an additional four (4) lucky customers with $10,000 each. Each winner will be selected from a group of ten finalist who will compete at the weekly Digicel Christmas Road Shows.   The next road show will kick off at the Grays Farm Basketball on Saturday the 30^th and then move on to Barbuda, Parham and Pigotts.

 

Digicel customers can participate by topping up their prepaid account by $10 or more, activating any Digicel account or paying their bill in full and on time.
