On behalf of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda and the people of our Nation, I congratulate all our dedicated athletes and officials who have been selected to represent Antigua and Barbuda at the Commonwealth Games “friendly games” in Delhi, India.
As we deal with the challenge of another Commonwealth Game, I wish team Antigua and Barbuda every success as they represent our country with pride. The Government is very appreciative of all the sacrifice you have undergone and hope for glory in your international performance.
As the Minister responsible for Sports, let me assure the Antigua Barbuda Olympic Association and the various organisations that they have my Ministry’s full support in the drive to maintain top class performance. I also thank the many businesses in the private sector for the supportive role that they continue to play through their consistent assistance to Antigua Barbuda Olympic Association and the various Sports Associations.
Once again, to the Athletes selected for the Delhi 2010 games, I offer my sincere congratulations for making the team; and wish you well. Your best is good enough as you will certainly make Antigua and Barbuda proud of your performance.
