ENCORE PERFORMERS TO FLY A & B'S FLAG AT 2014 FINALETuesday 19th August 2014
Press release - Six team members hailing from Grand Pineapple Antigua and Sandals Grande Antigua Resort and Spa will proudly carry the flag of Antigua and Barbuda during the staging of Encore Finals later this year in Jamaica.
This comes after participating in the local leg of Encore last week where fourteen team members took the stage to compete for Best Singer, Best Model in both Male and Female categories, Best Dancer and Best Instrumentalist.
The talented group included dancers - Sheneika Anthony, Kellyn Benjamin and Ariel Greene, Tiffney Forde, Akeko Gordon and Jermyra Williams who competed in the singing contest, lone male model - Regino Nicholas, Lyndon Steele who played the piano, female singers - Kayla Lay, Suzetta Hamilton and Kennella Charles and male singers - Leonard Smith, Rashid Walker and Gregory Martin (pictured left to right).
At the end of the evening the winners were Ariel Green – Champion Dancer, Akeko Gordon – Best Female Model, Regino Nicholas – Best Male Model, Lyndon Steele – Best Instrumentalist, Suzetta Hamilton - Best Female Singer and Rashid Walker - Best Male Singer.
The participants and winners were awarded with a number of prizes which were handed over by General Manager of Grand Pineapple Ferry Zvinger and Sandals Grande Antigua Resort and Spa’s GM Gaurav “Mr. G” Sindhi.
Both men also congratulated the contestants for making Encore 2014 a success.
The event was hosted by Entertainer and Radio Personality Supa Dymond and saw Reigning Jumpy Monarch King Ricardo Drue and Road March King Menace creating a festive atmosphere with their popular songs.
The Encore Finals will see competitors from other properties under Sandals Resorts International (SRI) competing for the prestigious titles.
