OUR MISSION

To enhance the empowerment of women, and by extension the community, to effect constructive change by promoting excellence in all aspects of life

POWA was established in January 1997 as a networking and resource group for professional and executive women – independent thinkers, courageous enough to speak out on issues affecting our society. There were over 100 women at the first lunch meeting in January 1997. The first President was Valerie Jeffery.
