Dr. Regina Vincent Clark will sign copies of her newest book, “Answering God’s Wake-up Call: A 100 Day Journey With the Holy Spirit” on Saturday, April 13 at Best of Books on Lower St. Mary’s Street. Dr. Clark is the author of four other books and two spoken word CDs. She has lived and worked in Antigua the past two years and says she found her niche in community service through the Antigua and Barbuda Sickle Cell Association. She is currently helping the organization to establish a database of persons on both islands who have the trait and/or sickle cell disease. Clark is also active with various church services and special programs. She recently performed James Weldon Johnson’s “Crucifixion” at Freeman’s Village Christian Union Church.
Clark is originally from Talladega, Alabama, and will be returning to the U.S. (Atlanta, GA) within the next month. Her books are available at Best of Books and at Peaceful Moments on Old Parham Road. Occasionally, she has served as a co-host with Norris Morris Harris on his Sunday Jazz program.
The public is invited to the book launch, which is held in conjuction with Best of Books monthly open mic session (7:30 p.m.). Both of Clark's recent books feature individuals from Antigua and photographs of Antigua’s beautiful landscapes. She plans to publish yet another book in 2013: The Journey: Divinely and Digitally!! This book will highlight more than 100 photos taken while living in the Caribbean.
