DAY 4 & 5 - DUTCH CARIBBEAN OPEN
Wednesday 13th July 2011

Another long day at Club Asiento, our under 14 players had a relatively good Day.

Under 14
In boys consolation quarter finals Cedique Henry defeated
Zayne Gijsbertha (Netherland Antilles) 5-3, 4-0 this win has secured Henry’s spot in the boys
Consolation semi finals, where he will meet Aydan Gomez (Netherland Antilles).
 
Jevannie Ambrose who entered the consolation draw as the #1 seed paved the way for
Christopher Panneflek (netherland Antilles). Ambrose suffered a back injury during his
Doubles match and had to withdraw from the consolation singles quarterfinals.
In his doubles quarter finals match Ambrose & partner Kyle Frankel (Aruba) fell to
The team of Van Dam(USA)/Castillo(netherland Antilles) 2-6, 0-6
 
In the girls doubles semi finals D’Jeri Raymond & Partner Daynisja Ricardo defeated the
All Venezuelan team of Nicole Halabi/Valentina Lepore 6-4, 6-4. This matched paved there
way to the doubles finals.
 
Under 18
In the boys U18 doubles the team of Kyle Joseph (ANT)/ Valeriy Preobrazhenskiy(RUS)      defeated Shakir Elvin (ANT)/Jaulon Greig (TRI) 6-0, 6-0 securing their spot in the the doubles quarterfinals.

Day 5 The Dutch Caribbean Open
 
Wednesday was the last day of all U14 play.    
 
In the boys U14 consolation semi finals Cedique Henry (ANT) was defeated by
Aydan Gomez (Netherland Antilles)  2-4, 2-4.  Also  in girls consolation round robin
Match 1 Noah Peters(ANT) was defeated by  Marlene Willemse (Netherland Antilles) 2-4, 0-4
and in round robin Match 2 Noah was again defeated by Nicole Halabi (Ven) 0-4, 0-4
 
In the girls doubles finals D’Jeri Raymond(ANT)/Daynisja Ricardo (Netherland Antilles) defeated Natasha Esschendal (Aru)/Kayle Fines (Bonaire)  6-0, 6-2  Winning the Dutch Caribbean Girls

U14 doubles title.
 
In the U18 singles quarter finals  Kyle Joseph(ANT) fell to the #7 seed Daniel Khanin (USA)   1-6, 0-6. 
 
Further results this evening on the boys 18’s doubles quarter finals……
 
This is the final tournament is this leg of the summer tour for our U14 players.
