The Atlantic Dash 2026 is set to make waves once again as adventurers from across the globe prepare to row 3,000 miles from Lanzarote to English Harbour, Antigua. This grueling transatlantic test of endurance, courage, and teamwork will feature a dynamic mix of solo challengers and multi-person crews—each with their own mission and story to tell.
Among this year’s lineup is Renee Blacken from the USA, rowing solo as fOARtysomething in her boat Reset in support of Outdoor Adventuring for Good. Representing the UK, Emma Gent and Andrew Ravenscroft of Team Shark Bait will row for multiple charities, including The Robin Cancer Trust and Wales Air Ambulance. Another British duo, Sean Phelps and Jonny Towers of Changing Tides, will take on the Atlantic aboard Danielle, raising awareness for Samaritans and Care After Combat. The mixed four-person team Do The Thing—Stu, Nicky, Paul, and Matt—will row for Make-A-Wish UK, while Cheerfulness, featuring Tim Foster and Mike Read, also joins the field representing the UK.
Organizers promise that this year’s race will not only test physical stamina but also highlight oceanic conservation and innovation in marine technology. As ocean-rowing vessels become lighter, stronger, and more sustainable, many teams are adopting renewable energy systems for navigation and communication. With safety, resilience, and environmental consciousness at the forefront, the Atlantic Dash 2026 underscores a growing commitment to responsible adventure.
As the countdown continues, excitement builds both in Lanzarote and in Antigua’s English Harbour, where locals eagerly anticipate the arrival of the crews. Each oar stroke across the Atlantic symbolizes human endurance and the unbreakable bond between man and sea.
