WISHING WELL INC. ASSIST YOUNG ANTIGUANS Monday 29th August 2016
Antigua & Barbuda, St. John’s, August 20th, 2016 – Wishing Well Inc. has assisted 4 young Antiguans with their quest to further their tertiary education. The recipients of funds towards their tuition fees study very different disciplines, but all have in common that they had to work very hard to get to this point. Most of these students had to seek employment alongside their studies to fund their educational aspirations.
Wishing Well Inc. has been approached by students directly, various social clubs, friends and family members to assist. Wishing Well Inc. has chosen these 4 students based on their drive to succeed, their academic achievements despite their challenges, their financial needs and work ethics.
Miss Tia-Marie Haywood, who is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Management at the UWI Cavehill Campus, had to put her educational dreams on hold, but was successful this year with the assistance of Wishing Well Inc. She says “I am thankful to both God and Wishing Well Inc. for choosing me as a sponsorship recipient. This opportunity has been a blessing and the charity has indeed helped in making my academic school year 2016/17 a possible one. I am excited and I am aiming to not only make my family proud but also my sponsors.”
Miss Merlyne Marie who also left this month to attend the University of the West Indies Centre for Hotel & Tourism Management Bahamas, Nassau said “I am now off to the Bahamas to study, thanks to the team at Wishing Well Inc. When all hope was lost the team gave me hope again. What the team didn't know was, I gave up completely when nothing was going right. Wishing Well Inc. came through and I thank them for their support and assistance.”
Other recipients of resources are Miss Zhanalé Anthony, who will continue her studies in Architecture at the Valencia College in Florida and Miss Lariah Richardson who is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources in Antigua.
