Maintenance Manager
Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Are you a hands-on leader with a strong background in facilities management and a passion for excellence? St. James’s Club & Villas is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep and functionality of our beautiful property.
As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of maintenance operations, ensuring that our resort’s infrastructure, buildings, equipment, and systems operate efficiently and safely. You will lead a team of technicians and tradesmen while working closely with the Chief Engineer and department heads to ensure the highest standard of guest satisfaction and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise maintenance, engineering, and technical staff across multiple disciplines.

Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance schedules for all resort facilities, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pools, landscaping, and water systems.

Conduct routine inspections of buildings, guest rooms, public areas, and grounds to identify and address issues proactively.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, health standards, and environmental codes.

Coordinate and oversee external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or large-scale projects.

Manage department budgets, procurement of supplies, inventory, and cost controls.

Respond to emergency maintenance issues promptly to minimize disruption to operations or guests.

Maintain detailed maintenance records, reports, and work orders.

Support sustainability initiatives and energy-efficient practices.
Requirements:
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance leadership role, preferably in a hotel, resort, or hospitality setting.

Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).

Proven ability to manage teams and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Must be physically fit and able to respond to hands-on maintenance issues.

Knowledge of health & safety regulations and environmental compliance standards.

Technical certification or degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field is a plus.
