Between Saba and St. Kitts lies St. Eustatius, or Statia—a quiet gem in the Northern Leewards. From the anchorage, cliffs rise behind a sandy beach, dotted with ruins and historic buildings. Oranjestad perches above, framed by trees, while a perfect volcanic cone towers to the east. While tranquil today, Statia’s story runs deep.
