YOUTH SAILING & SWIMMING LESSONS WITH THE NATIONAL SAILING ACADEMY Thursday 22nd August 2013
The National Sailing Academy will continue to run its programme of free sailing lessons for students age 8 - 18 years who can swim. Lessons take place in the afternoons - Monday to Friday and they encourage schools to contact us to discuss signing up their students. They also offer courses of swimming lessons to students who would like to learn to sail but are not yet competent/confident in the water.
Some of their teenage students are now studying to obtain professional qualifications with the aim of gaining employment in Antigua's vibrant, and growing, yachting industry.
The Academy has new Headquarters in Dockyard Drive, English Harbour at the premises formerly known as Reef Gardens. They are in the midst of setting up all the necessary infrastructure and plan to become operational before the end of the year. The Academy and the Antigua Yacht Club will work together to get as many children and adults as we can to take up both recreational and competitive sailing.
