NATIONAL SAILING ACADEMY UPDATE Wednesday 6th April 2011
The National Sailing Academy announces that Eastern Caribbean Amalgamated Bank (ECAB) now has an online facility available for people wishing to make a donation to this program that makes it possible for Antiguan students to learn to sail free of charge as part of their school curriculum. Everyone is encouraged to make a danation of as little as US $10.
In cooperation with Antigua Sailing Week, the National Sailing Academy will also have a desk in the Event Village where people can find out more about the Academy and make a donation if they wish.
Progress is being made on the development of 'satellite' locations so sailing training can take place at sites other than Antigua Yacht Club, including at Parham and at Jolly Harbour. The Academy is working closely wiht the Minister of Agriculture and representatives of CDAL in Jolly Harbour to further progress.
And finally, the Academy reminds all those who very generously promised the sponsorship of a new Pico dinghy to stop by Antigua Yacht Club to make their payment as soon as possible. We all thank you very much for your support. Click here for all News and Specials for National Sailing Academy
