US GOVERNMENT PROVIDES FUNDING FOR MAKING OF MASKS
Thursday 14th May 2020

The United States government has contributed fifteen thousand US dollars to support the efforts of agencies in the front-line against the Coronavirus.

The funds were donated to the National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) which contracted eleven tailors and seamstresses, both in Antigua and on the sister-isle of Barbuda to make approximately five thousand masks.

The masks will be distributed to the Prison, Police and Fire Departments, the Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP), the Immigration Department, the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force and NODS.

Masks will also be donated to other residents in Antigua and Barbuda.
