OPPORTUNITY FOR ENERGY ENTERPRENEURS
Sunday 11th September 2011

The Energy Desk in the Office of the Prime Minister is collaborating with the CARICOM Secretariat in sourcing financing for renewable energy, RE projects within Antigua and Barbuda and the region.

In addition, renewable energy project developers will be given the opportunity to display their projects at the 2011 Caribbean renewable Energy Forum, CREF which will be held at the Hilton Barbados Hotel from October 12 to 14. The forum is being organised by the CARICOM Secretariat and a number of its regional partners.

“This forum will provide an opportunity for project developers to participate in a ‘match-making’ session with renewable energy sponsors, and project financiers, whereby financing could be identified for specific project proposals. Renewable energy project developers will also get the opportunity to be guided by financing experts on the possible financing options available for their RE projects,” according to a release from the Energy Desk in the Office of the Prime Minister.

The Energy Desk is therefore inviting renewable energy developers to submit to the Office of the Prime Minister information on RE projects that they have developed and require financing. Developers can collect from the Office of the Prime Minister, Expression of Interest for Financing of RE Project Forms, which must be returned on or before September 30, 2011.

Additional information on the project can be obtained from the Energy Desk within the Office of the Prime Minister at telephone number 462-0773 Extension 286.
