ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS GROUP TO COLLECT CHANGE DURING ANTIGUA SAILING WEEK Tuesday 24th April 2012
Antigua’s Environmental Awareness Group (EAG) will be collecting loose change during Antigua Sailing Week to raise funds for its environmental projects. This non-profit organisation depends on generous donations from the public to fund its project and it is hoped that you will leave your loose change behind in one of the EAG's collection boxes to be found at official venues during Antigua Sailing Week.
The EAC is a society informed and empowered to sustainably use and manage its natural resources.
ITS MISSION STATEMENT IS:
To raise public awareness of the values of – and threats to - natural resources and to promote their sustainable management.
Motivate and promote civil society participation in environmental decision-making and management.
Support and undertake natural resource conservation projects that develop a better understanding of the use and management of natural resources.
Advocate and support policies, legislation and programmes which support sustainable use and management of natural resources.
Fundraising, soliciting, receiving and accepting financial assistance, donations, endowments, gifts (both intervivos and testamentary) and loans of or any interest in money, lands, or other property whatsoever whether real or personal to further the aims and objectives of the Organisation.
