PARTY AND GROOVY MONARCH PRELIMINARIES ALL SET TO EXPLODE Monday 5th July 2010
The staging of the quarterfinals in the Lime Party and Groovy Monarch competition will begin on Monday 5th July, 2010.
The venue for what is expected to be the first in a series of fiery events leading up to the explosive affair during the Carnival celebrations will be at the House of Culture Parking Lot.
The quarterfinals will run from Monday until Thursday 8th July and will begin at 8pm each night.
The Party and Groovy monarch competition is one of the most highly anticipated events of Antigua carnival attracting in the past some of the most exciting and dynamic performers to have ever hit the soca stage in the entire Caribbean.
This year will be no different, with the list of artists already registered having released some of the most popular songs for Antigua Carnival 2010.
The semi finals will be heading into the country, in the continuous effort by the Carnival Development Committee to decentralize the Carnival celebrations and ensure that everyone feels a part of the national festival. So the semi-finals will be held this year at the English Harbour Play Field on Wednesday 21st July starting at 8pm as well.
The explosive Antigua Carnival is being held under the theme ‘Bring your family, tell a friend, Antigua Carnival 2010.'
