ANTIGUA CARNIVAL

Planning has begun for the 2014 Jaycees Queen Show and a new committee has been put in place to move forward the preparations.

Delacy Isaac is the chairman for this year’s show. The show has been held during the annual carnival celebrations for the past 52 years.

The Deputy Chairman/Finance Director is Adrien Zachariah, Secretary is Tonya Jackson, Treasurer  Adrian Thomas, Marketing Director is Leandra James and Public Relations Officer is Shenella Govea.

The committee also comprises of Donna Francis OH in charge of Protocol, Leslie Emmanuel – Supporting Show/Stage Management, Brenda Albert- Local Chaperone, Annie Jno-Baptiste – Hospitality and Entertainment, Joseph ‘Billy’ Francis – Judges, Shenika George –Grounds & Layout, Ricardo Lambert – Security & Gate Control, Melissa Joseph – Transportation and Rozanne Pringle – Prizes and Gifts while last year’s chairman Alexis Murray now sits as advisor to the committee.

Isaac stated that the committee has already begun moving the wheels into action with its preparations for the competition slated for 1st August 2014, 8pm at Carnival City.

To this end, we have confirmed some 13 countries including Antigua and Barbuda participating in this year’s completion.

On Thursday 26th June, Caribbean Lottery made its financial contribution to the 53rd Jaycees Queen show on Good Morning Antigua Barbuda.  The committee is very grateful and hopes that more sponsors will come on board.

The committee wishes to express its gratitude to the many donors and sponsors who have supported the show over the years and is now looking forward to their continued patronage.
