TOT CLUB KEEP FIT TREE REMOVAL Tuesday 14th June 2011
A few months ago Curator of the Nelson's Dockyard Museum and Antiguan archeologist, Reg Murphy invited the Tot Club to remove a tree from the Artillery Officers Quarters. Four weeks ago, members of the Tot Club Keep Fit team inspected the tree. Having anticipated a couple of hours' work, the team was overwhelmed by the size and complexity of the tree which was growing through a substantial stone wall.

After one week of work.. |
After the second week.. |
After week three,
with only one branch attached |
Last Sunday only two members were available for Keep Fit and, unfortunately, the chain saw broke after an hour so three of the four remaining branches were cut down with a hand saw.
The chain saw will be repaired by next weekend and help is required to move the dismembered branches.
Keep fit while helping to restore history! Help us out with finishing off this project. There are a number a cut branches left that need dismembering and removing. Join us on Sunday 19th June at 10am to help. We meet at the Galley Bar in Nelson's Dockyard. You don't need to be a member of the tot club to join in. Contact John Duffy for more information.
