JOLLY HARBOUR DINGHY CLUB, EASTER REGATTA 2012 DATES ANNOUNCED! Monday 5th March 2012
We are pleased to announce two days of dinghy racing during the Easter Weekend. Saturday 7th April and Sunday 8th April.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Saturday
Closed regatta for JHDC Members.
- 0930 hrs. Congregate at North Beach to rig boats and receive Helmsman’s Briefing
- 1100 hrs. Start 1st.Race. (We project running five races in each of two classes, Lasers and Optimists).
- On completion, Lunch at Al Porto
- Open Laser race for Instructors from JHDC and AYC.
- If time permits, fun races for Students and Instructors.
- Prize giving.
- Return boats to North Beach.
Sunday
Open regatta for allcomers.
- 1030: All Helmsmen to meet at Al Porto Restaurant to be ferried to North Beach to brief and pick up dinghies1100, (or as close as we can make it) start of first race. Number of races to be determined by entries received. (Elimination races will be run if numbers require it).
- Break for lunch at Al Porto Restaurant.
- Complete races
- Instructors Laser Race, all sailing instructors welcome. (No entry fee).
- Prize giving
- Return boats to North Beach.
Race fee for Saturday will be standard Saturday Fee.
Race fee for Sunday will be $50 EC per boat.
Al Porto will lay on an all you can eat brunch for $40 EC +ABST & Service. Half price for children.
All entries to be confirmed to the Race Director by 2000 hrs. on Friday 6th.April, all race fees to be paid before commencement of racing on each day.

Racing instructions will be relayed to all helmsmen on the day with emphasis being placed on good sportsmanship rather than lengthy protest hearings.
Race committee will be made up of JHDC Instructors and the Race Director.
Safety Boat/s will be on hand during all races, and to escort dinghies to and from the North Beach.
JHDC does not have credit card facilities so we will accept entries for both days on an honour system. (You book, you pay your dues.)
