Located on the water's edge in Jolly Harbour, Al Porto is all about great quality, simple, freshly prepared pizza, and homemade pasta served in stylish contemporary surroundings. It's one of those times when you sit down and question whether you are in Antigua. Of course the fact the air is warm and yachts and dinghies can literally tie up marina side reminds you that you are in the Caribbean.
There is a large deck on the water with a constant breeze that makes for a perfect dining experience. The open kitchen allows patrons to have a peek at the chefs in action. The brick domed pizza oven churns out delicious thin crust pizzas... many say the best pizza on the island!
The menu is strictly Italian with authentic dishes from various regions in Italy. You can start with classics like caprese, bruschetta, or calamari fritti, and enjoy a large selection of tradional pizzas like florentine, bianca and pepperoni. Pastas to die for like fettuccine carbonara, salmon pasta or a veggie lasagne. Not to mention mouth watering mains, and an incredible "from the grill" section with select sauces to go with it.
Al Porto is open for dinner seven days a week from 5 pm. Tuesday is the famous 2-4-1 pizza night, when the restaurant is literally buzzing. Be sure to call and make a reservation. Walk-ins rarely get a seat on Tuesdays.
Thursdays' is all you can eat Pasta night, with six different types of hot & fresh homemade pastas in a buffet with bread and salad for EC$50.
On Mondays, kick back and enjoy live music from popular local bands during dinner, then get on the dancefloor to party away the Monday blues.
