"OH, SO PRECIOUS SIGHT!" PHOTO CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCED Tuesday 26th March 2013
The Glaucoma Support Group launched its glaucoma awareness photo competition on February 5th in association with Antiguanice.com where fans across the Caribbean were asked to submit photos of sights that they would truly miss if they were to lose their eyesight to Glaucoma.
Stunning sunsets and sunrises, turquoise water and sandy beaches, beautiful flowers, picturesque landscapes and happy family faces and pets were among the 60+ entries submitted to help to raise awareness of Glaucoma and encourage regular eye examinations.

Another noteworthy entry was Sight #40 submitted by Ted Martin, where he creatively captures and compares the blurred sight and a dazzling effect of the gradual sight-stealing disease.
The goal of the contest was to maximize the number of people actually viewing the photos in order to spread the message that Sight is Precious and regular eye exams are essential to preserve it.
The top two photos have won the entrants full eye exams to be awarded at the Annual Glaucoma Week Cocktail Party on April 6th at Island Inn starting at 7:00 pm.
