Accounts Clerk – Income Audit
Dynamic individual with:
- Minimum qualifications & experience of at least 5 CXCs including Maths, Accounts, and English.
- A college Diploma or professional accounting qualification, with at least 3 years of practical accounting experience, particularly in Revenue & Receivables and Income Audit.
- Good working knowledge of Excel, Opera & Accpac, or similar accounting software.
- Microsoft Office proficient.
- Knowledge of Resort accounting procedures, auditing, or any other roles within the Accounts Department would be an advantage.
Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Review and adjust the daily revenue report prepared by the Night Auditors.
- Complete the daily Night Audit Pack by corroborating source documents with detailed transaction listings for all revenue outlets.
- Investigating discrepancies noted by the Night Auditors and own review of the daily packs.
- General oversight of the Night Auditors work.
- Cross-check Opera reports to the Commission and Tip sheets to ensure accuracy.
- Report on a weekly basis the revenue breakdown by categories.
- Recording of management meals, entertainment and complimentary charges.
- Assisting with credit card reconciliations and investigation of chargebacks.
- Complete month end accounts receivable procedures with appropriate documentation on a timely basis.
- Assist with reports and analysis for the annual financial audit.
- Ensure complaince with all applicable plans, policies, and standards
- Stay current on industry trends, and best accounting and audit practices
- Provide support to other departments and external guests.
