Sheer Rocks have supported the widely publicized UK charity Movember for the past three years by hosting a Movember party at the end of November to raise funds to help change the face of men’s health and raise awareness for the often ignored issues of prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health.

For those that don’t already know, Movember challenges men on the 1st day of November with a clean-shaven face to grow a moustache for the 30 days of November.

The Sheer Rocks Antigua Team will once again join in the fun. For the entire hairy month, along with millions of other selfless and generous men known as Mo Bros, we will effectively donate our faces, and much like taking part in a run or a walk for charity, ask our family and friends to sponsor our efforts for the 30 days of Movember.

Last year alone the Sheer Rocks Antigua Team raised over $10,000 by growing their Mo's for prostate cancer. This year, on Sunday, the 30th day of November, Sheer Rocks will host a very special ‘Friends of Movember’ party where Antigua's Mo Bros & Mo Sistas can celebrate their month long journey along with a Silent Auction, Raffle and Tapas Lunch & Cocktails with the proceeds going to the local charity, Friends of the Care Project.

We have created 2 special cocktails ... The MOSCOW MULE with Absolut Vodka & Home-made Ginger Beer & THE MO'FASHIONED RUM PUNCH with Cavalier Gold, Lime & Bitters, we'll donate $5 from each one sold throughout the month along with asking our guests to make a donation to the charity on their bill.

Friends of the Care Project is an independent non-profit organization in Antigua & Barbuda which provides a home and basic care in the paediatric ward at the old Holberton Hospital for a number of children and adults with severe mental and physical disabilities. Most of the residents have been abandoned by their families and have never known a life outside the care project and sadly, most are likely to live the rest of their lives in such care. Although the Care Project is primarily a home for children, the ages of the residents range from 8-48.
