CALVINAIR HELICOPTERS AWARDS SCHOLARSHIP TO EMPLOYEE Wednesday 25th September 2024
CalvinAir Helicopters, in collaboration with the Calvin Ayre Foundation, has awarded a scholarship to employee Adriel Sobers, reinforcing the Ayre Group’s commitment to internal growth and development. Adriel, who has worked with the company for two years, will pursue training as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at Canada College, one of the top aviation schools in Canada.
During a farewell ceremony at CalvinAir Helicopters’ hangar, CEO Mark Fleming praised Adriel’s exceptional work ethic and expressed confidence in his future success. Adriel, the first Antiguan helicopter engineer, shared his gratitude for the opportunity, stating his passion for aviation and hope to inspire other young Antiguans.
"My passion for this field is unexplainable and I hope to make a change for other young up and coming Antiguans that want to be a part of this field.
I would like to personally thank the Calvin Ayre Foundation and CalvinAir Helicopters for this wonderful opportunity."
Both CalvinAir Helicopters and the Calvin Ayre Foundation extended their best wishes for his studies and future contributions to the company and Antigua and Barbuda.
