RUPERT K HENRY TENNIS 10S TOURNAMENT Monday 21st January 2013
Though plagued by rain delays the Rupert K. Henry Tennis 10s tournament, a memorial to the late Rupert 'Pert' Henry a past member of the ABTA & Halcyon Tennis Club kicked off Saturday 19th January, on the courts of Halcyon by Rex Resort.
The tournament sponsored by American Airlines, The Corner Store, ACT, Hadeed Motors, Cool & smooth, Columbian Emeralds, Curtain Bluff-Old Road Fund saw 42 jr. players from across the island ranging in age from 7 to 10 years old.
Junior development was the name of the game and this was evident at both levels of this
competition.

Boys finalist - Donte Allred ( Kid Unlimited / Halcyon Tennis Club)
Girls winner - Brianna Georges ( TOR Memorial/ Halcyon Tennis)
Girls finalist - Genesis Whitlock ( Kids Unlimited / Halcyon Tennis Club)

Girls Finalist - Sibly Charles ( Sunnyside/ Jolly Harbour Tennis)
The tournament organisers and Mrytle Henry thanked all the players and parents for being a part of this competition, they were also encouraged to continue developing their game, She also thanked the corporate sponsors who came on board and helped in making the tournament a success and Halcyon Tennis club by extension the Halcyon by Rex Resorts for the use of their courts.
Development at all levels is the name of the game and the ABTA encourages all our tennis players to continue to develop with the solid aim of getting to the next level of play.
