TWO JUNIOR TENNIS PLAYERS OFF TO THE CARIBBEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS Tuesday 28th August 2012
Two junior tennis players leave for the Caribbean Development Championships , which will take place from August 27th to September 1st in Tobago this year at the newly constructed Shaw Park Tennis Centre.
Representing Antigua & Barbuda in the Thirteen (13) and Under Development Championships are, Cordell Williams Jr, who placed 10th last year and Justice Christopher. These veterans will be carrying the nation's flag proudly at the games.
Antigua & Barbuda Tennis Association would like to thank the National Olympic Committee for assisting the team with their travel expenses to these development championships.
In 2011, Antigua & Barbuda was placed third at this tournament with individual placings in the top 10. Benefits from this tournament as has happened in the past will result in the selection of the most promising players for the regional training camp.
We encourage our athletes as they move forward in the next stage of their development.
