MAGINLEY WINS BOYS DOUBLES TITLE AT COCA-COLA JR. TOURNAMENT Monday 13th August 2012
More success came for Antigua & Barbuda on the final day of the Coco Cola LCA Jr. Tournament.
Jody Maginley & Alex Rybakov (USA) today took the boys U18 doubles title defeating the #1 seeded doubles team Yanikk James (GRE)/Luke Jacob Gamble (USA) 6-3, 6-4! This is the second such title for Maginley at the ITF level and we trust that Jody like all our athletes will continue to make strides in a sport they so dearly love.
As all our athletes move on to the SVG ITF jr tournament which commenced today with the round robin qualifiers for the under 14 players and under 18 qualifiers.
Competing in the under 18 competition is Jody Maginley, D'Jeri Raymond and Shakir Elvin who have all secured direct entry into the main draw. Under 14 competitors Justice Christopher, Jessica Isaac and Cordell Williams jr.
