Basketball Officiating Clinic Screening Session

ABBA with some assistance from the Ministry of Sports will be hosting an Officiating Clinic from March 10—13, 2011 at the JSC Sports Complex.

The Facilitator will be Mr. Freddy Browne, a FIBA Referee Consultant from the Bahamas.

Antiguan basketball officials will seek to get re-certified and successful interested officials will also become new FIBA certified referees.

The Officiating clinic will also include table officiating. Interested persons, referees, and table officials are asked to register now for this Officiating Clinic.

Registration forms can be obtained from any member of the ABBA. Meanwhile, ABBA, in a joint venture with the University of Health Sciences, Antigua School of Medicine (UHSASM) to ensure that there is a healthy and safe environment for all to enjoy the sport of basketball throughout the State, will be providing a Free Screening Exercise for Hypertension, Diabetes, Cholesterol, BMI, a brief post screening counseling, and a Recommended Exercise Regiment to maintain best physical health for players throughout the season.

The Screening Session will be held on Saturday, February 26, from 7:00 A.M. to Midday, at the ABBA office, JSC Sports Complex. All are invited.
