PRESIDENT OF THE ABAA ATTENDS ATHLETICS SEMINAR AND CONGRESS IN PUERTO RICO

President of the Antigua and Barbuda Athletics Association (ABAA), Dr. Rodney Williams, is attending a strategy development seminar in Rio Piedras Puerto Rico organized by the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) for National Presidents and General Secretaries.
The Seminar will cover several topics including the role of the IAAF, the development of athletes, management of athletic federations, strategic planning and competitions to name a few. The seminar is being held during this week from July 12 – 14th.
Following this seminar, Dr. Williams will be attending an athletics Congress which will be held in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, to discuss the future of athletics in the North American and Central American Caribbean Conference (NACAC). Elections for the Executive for the NACAC Body will also be taking place during the congress. Dr. Williams will be expected back home on the weekend.
The IAAF is the world governing body for athletics and has also endorsed the CAC Games which will be held beginning .
