MSC IN CLIMATE CHANGE AND DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE Wednesday 13th April 2011
An opportunity has been made available for persons interested in pursuing a Masters of Science degree in Climate Change and Development.
A full scholarship for an MSc in Climate Change and Development inclusive of fees, travel and maintenance is being offered by the University of Sussex/ Institute for Development studies in the UK.
The scholarship, made available through the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme is catered to residents of countries of the developing countries of the Commonwealth of which Antigua and Barbuda is a member.
Interested persons must fulfill all eligibility requirements such that:
· they should hold a first degree at either first or second upper class level,
· they be fluent in English,
· not be employed by the government,
· they are willing to confirm that neither they nor their family can pay for the proposed course of study,
·They would be willing to return home on completion of their studies.
· The applicant should not have studied in a developed country for a year or more previously.
Once the above stated eligibility requirements are met, scholarship hopefuls are asked to submit an application for MSc in Climate change and development at http://www.sussex.ac.uk/study/pg/2011/taught/3331/23691.
The MSc in Climate Change and Development course aims to provide state of the art training for the rapidly expanding market for development professionals with specialization in Climate Change. The program is strongly multi-disciplinary and students will acquire specialist knowledge of the causes of climate change, the implications for developing countries, and the policy and practice of efforts to mitigate and adapt to a changing climate.
The deadline for applications for this scholarship is May 1st 2011.
