VACANCIES FOR HR AND PAYROLL OFFICERS Tuesday 28th November 2023
Big Banana Group of Companies is currently recruiting individuals for the position of Group HR Admin and Payroll Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing employee compensation using payroll software. Preparing payroll reports.
- Entering new employee data into the company database. Verifying how many hours employees have worked.
- Calculating overtime, salary increases and shift payments.
- Answering employee questions and complaints about payroll
- Maintaining compliant policies and procedures
- Deducting tax and national insurance payments
- Management of Employee personnel records
- Maintaining internal records, which may include preparing, issuing and filing company documentation (e.g., vacation, sick leave, maternity leave, etc.)
- Ensuring taxes comply with company and country regulations.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 3-4 years' experience doing payroll in Antigua and Barbuda Knowledge of Xandapay Payroll Software is advantageous.
- Strong mathematical skills and strong attention to detail
- Experience working in the hospitality and or food and beverage sector.
- Fair working knowledge of national employment laws/practice
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues Experience in educating and coaching staff
- Experience in following and maintaining workplace privacy.
- Experience in Document management
- Ability to lead/give presentations.
- Advanced competency in Microsoft applications -Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Must be technology savvy
