SUMMER SUSHI MAKING Wednesday 26th July 2023
On one of the most iconic locations in Antigua, a group of five budding sushi chefs gathered with plenty of carefully chosen wine to have a go at preparing a dish that is often surrounded by mystic. Rocks’ Group executive chef Simon gave an often surprising history & explained that Masters of Sushi train for ten years before they are let loose on an unsuspecting public. Sushi before handing over to sushi chef Bertina who made it look oh so easy. Well, it’s not as difficult as you think, but it’s definitely not as easy as it looks!
With careful instruction, five plates of sushi were miraculously produced. It may not have challenged Bertina or ten years of training, but looked impressive enough to satisfy the budding chefs and tasted great. All helped of course, by wines carefully chosen by Rokuni Manager, Sharzie.
