ABACA 3 STAGE RACE - 14-15TH AUGUST 7AM Thursday 12th August 2010
The Antigua and Barbuda Cycling Association resumes its race calendar after breaking for Carnival celebrations. The Association will start its second half of the cycling season on Saturday 14th – 15th August with a 3 Stage Race. The first stage, Individual Time trial will start at Saturday morning 7am in front of Police Recreation Grounds heading up to North Sound Round a bout and back to the start point for 6 miles. 2nd stage – 25 mile Circuit Race will take place on the roads around Sir Viv Stadium for 15 laps, starting at 3pm. The 3rd and final stage – 30 miles Road Race will take place on Sunday 15th August, starting at 9am. The race will start at Sir Viv Stadium, heading out unto Factory Road up to Black out main road, Up through Bethesda, out to St. James’s Club, return back through Bethesda Collins, Pares Road for 2 laps, finishing back at Sir Vivian Stadium.
Robert Marsh won last year’s event with Dale Richardson as 2nd runner up. This year we can see a run for the general classification coming from Jyme Bridges, Omari king, Marvin Spencer, Neil Lloyd and Glen Campbell along with Marsh and Richardson.
