WORLD’S TOUGHEST ROW 2023 WINNERS: HMS OARDACIOUS
Wednesday 17th January 2024

They did it! Royal Navy Submariners, team Oardacious never lost the lead they  had since the World's Toughest Row (Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge) set off on December 12th. The boat crossed the finish line into Nelson’s Dockyard January 17th. The aim was to win, but the greater challenge was to beat the time of previous teams Oardacious.  Which they did with a time of 35 days, 17 hours, 30 minutes. Team Out of the Blue is 100 miles behind, with rowing duo Seas the Moments bringing up the rear in 38th place.

The World's Toughest Row is a premier ocean rowing race, that pits teams against the vast Atlantic, from the Canary Islands to  Nelson’s Dockyard, a distance of approximately 2,550 nm, which varies considerably according to the route the boats take and of course, the weather and winds. Rowing  thousands of miles, the event not only tests physical endurance but also showcases the spirit of adventure and camaraderie.

Although there is no Antigua team this year, there is still a frisson of excitement as the teams grow close to Antigua and crowds will flock to the dockyard to welcome the visitors. Follow the race here
