1ST ANNUAL COMPUTER SCIENCE WEEK
Tuesday 22nd November 2016

iLabGlobal Inc., in partnership with The Ministry of Education, Science & Technology, will mark the celebration of Antigua's 1st Annual Computer Science Week from December 5th - 11th, 2016. All Schools can sign-up at https://code.org/

Computer Science Week is a global event were 100 million students in 180+ countries participate in an Hour of Code. That means that they spend an hour online with the global community to make games and app, to get an idea of how easy it is to write computer programs.

This year's event will be held in 5 schools across the nation and will expand each year to encompass all schools. All schools and students are encouraged to participate.

Why Participate in The Hour of Code?
Each year there are over 400,000 + jobs left unfilled in the USA alone because people simply don’t have the skills to fill them. These unfilled jobs present a unique opportunity for people in the Caribbean region to enter a booming job field.

The aim is to make Antigua's 1st Computer Science Week 2016 the best in an effort to promote computational and analytical thinking skills amongst our citizens.
