ONE DAY ON EARTH: 24 HOUR FILM PROJECT Tuesday 11th December 2012
Support the cause and help document the World’s Story. Watch the trailer below.
On December 12th, 12.12.12, across the planet, documentary filmmakers, students, and other inspired citizens will record the human experience over a 24-hour period and contribute their voice to the third annual global day of media creation called One Day on Earth. Together, we will create a shared archive and a film.
Join the international community of thousands of filmmakers, hundreds of schools, and dozens of non-profits, and contribute to this unique global mosaic. One Day on Earth is a community that not only watches, but participates.
1) Sign-up to participate at http://www.onedayonearth.org
2) Go out and shoot video during the 24-hour period of 12.12.12 (Wednesday, December 12th).
We ask that participants film something that matters to them, they find inspiring, or that they feel needs to be shared with the world. We have proposed the suggested theme this year of "What Do You Have? What Do You Need?" and these questions can be answered verbally in an interview, or visually. The theme is only suggested, and any project ideas that fall outside of it are perfectly okay too.
3) Return to http://www.onedayonearth.org and upload your video. You can either upload a full in-depth edit, or just a few of your favorite shots, and you will have until January 12, 2013 to do so.
4) Hang on to your raw footage! One Day on Earth will be making a feature length documentary film using footage from around the world - and we may be reaching back out to you to get this material for our editors!
