Jolly Beach Resort & Spa continues its string of travel agent familiarization trips welcoming a group of ten top agents from Trinidad, June 22-24, 2012.

The agents experienced friendly Antiguan hospitality and the wonderful beach and amenities at the resort that they have heard so much about from their vacationing clients. Jolly Beach Resort & Spa spearheaded the visit working with Trinidadian tour operator The Travel Centre and bringing LIAT on board for special air fares. The group enjoyed a real taste of Antigua with the Ministry of Tourism providing airport transfers and an island tour that included visits to Stingray City, and an Island Safari taking in Falmouth Harbour and the southern vistas.

After their arrival at the resort, the travel agents representing The Travel Centre, Jovizna Tours, Karmoon Hosein Yaron Tours & Travel, Nancy’s Travel & Tours, Kam’s Travel & Tours, Gee Geez Travel and Royale Tours & Travel attended a Destination Presentation given by the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority.  A welcome cocktail party and dinner followed hosted by Jolly Beach Resort & Spa General Manager, Vernon A. Jeffers, with guests including  Anthea Watkins from Antigua Hotels and Tourist Association and Charmaine Spencer representing the  Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority.

“The tour operators and travel agents in Trinidad have really become strong partners for us. We’ve been building these relationships steadily over the years,” says Andrea Jeremiah, Caribbean Sales Representative for Jolly Beach Resort & Spa. “Being able to travel to Trinidad ourselves and meet in person to find out what their clients are looking for has really helped to increase this market for Jolly Beach Resort & Spa. All of the participating agents have been selling the resort with great success but this is their first visit.”

Ian Vire, representing The Travel Centre had this to say about the visit: “The Jolly Beach Resort & Spa experience is great all-inclusive value for money, with a friendly and courteous staff at all levels. You can go with friends, family or just that special someone and you’ll be sure to have a wonderfully relaxing and possibly fattening holiday. And Antigua is so much more than sun, sea, sand and sensational sunsets.

There’s sightseeing -- swimming with stingrays, sailing, shopping in St. John’s -- not forgetting the friendliness of the people, and 365 beaches. I will definitely be back to explore more of them.”
