When it comes to iconic beach restaurant settings, you can’t get any better than Jacqui O’s Love Beach on Crab Hill Beach.  Regular patrons thought the incredible sunset views, the modern French cuisine, the sophisticated cocktails and the covered beach loungers created a tropical venue close to perfection.

But then owner Lance Leonhardt and his crew decided to make it even more perfect by upgrading the interior and refreshing the menu. They closed on June 2 to get the work done, and will be reopening on July 11 with everything in place.

According to Lance, the kitchen has been modernized and doubled in size, and the interior has been redesigned with bright new fabrics, new sofas and lounge chairs and more. On the beach, those much appreciated covered lounges have been given a facelift with new colours.

More importantly, a new menu will be premiered that reflects the creativity of the owner and chef and more of an international flair. Tempting entrees include Lebanese Lamb Shanks, Andalusian Paella, and Black Tiger Prawns sautéed in vanilla and lime.

“We go out and check our competitors in order to see how we can stay ahead of the pack,” says Lance. “We’re like a greyhound chasing a rabbit, and we’re determined to be in the lead.”
