CARNIVAL PHOTO COMPETITION ROUND-UP Thursday 30th August 2012
Over 11 photos of stunning carnival costumes have gone on display this month and after a month of showcasing your carnival colours and faces, it is time to announce the winner. Yeah, that's right (you read winner)! This month we have not two but one winner.
For the first time, we have one person walking away with both prizes in our monthly photo competition. The overall winner of this month’s photo competition is Randy Thomas. Randy has won himself a dinner for two at Bay House Restaurant inclusive of drinks and two tickets to Copper & Lumber Seafood Fridays just by displaying and sharing his artistic talent of capturing young vibrant people during the carnival season on our Facebook marketing platform. Congrats, Randy!
Harvesting the most “like” votes on Facebook is his side profile shot of beautifully made-up reveler, Sharlene Matthew , which captured 84 votes. Whilst his shot of a little one in children’s carnival secured second place with 72 votes.
His awe-inspiring photos produce photographic expressions that not only focus on the scene of carnival but the subject trying to communicate with you; each photo seems to have its own unique composition attached to it. And if you don’t believe me, see for yourself!
Here are Randy’s favourite ‘Carnival in Living Colour” photos:
Everyone one knows that a great photo needs a great photographer to capture the subject well! And while sometimes a lucky shot may just come along, you will agree that Randy has merged his technical skill and artistic talent to produce these awe-inspiring photos!!
Congratulations again, Randy and thanks to everyone for submitting! Also, a big thank you to everyone who showed their support by liking the images and an even bigger Thank you to our sponsors this month – Bay House Restaurant and Copper & Lumber Seafood Fridays.
