Vacancy – Reservationist

Curtain Bluff Resort is seeking a Reservationist whose primary responsibility is to handle guest room reservation requests for the hotel, provide guest with hotel facility information and answer questions relating to the hotel and local area. Curtain Bluff’s Reservationist works in an environment that demands exceptional performance from its employees at all times. 

Summary of Responsibilities: 

Efficiently and professionally process reservations calls, callbacks, e-mail requests, and internet bookings.

Administer pre-arrival services for arriving guests including Signature Meet & Greet lists, assigning airport taxi transfers, preparing travel advisor notes and special requests

Ensure IATA information is assigned to all direct bookings, liaise directly with travel advisors and commission payments information should be sent via phone or email 

Prepare TACS commission payments for reservations manager to review weekly

Ensure proper booking information is recorded for each reservation.

Maintain an efficient filing system for the reservations inbox, and respond to emails in a timely manner.

Collect and process deposits and final payments for confirmed bookings.

Maintain positive relationships with travel agents and wholesalers

Assist in recognizing and maintaining relationships with repeat guests and top producing travel agents.

Serve as a backup to the front desk when needed.

Maintain positive relationships with repeat guests.

Maintain a neat, clean, and safe work environment.


The ideal candidate must have experience as follows:

Two years of hospitality experience preferred.

Basic business and customer service skills to facilitate rational decision-making.

Effective communication both verbally and written in English, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner; communication to be used in phone conversations, face-to-face interactions with guests, and email correspondence with clients and colleagues. 

Time management and organizational skills are necessary for multi-tasking.

Salesmanship and the ability to adequately position Curtain Bluff.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Agiysys and Executech
