THINK, EAT, SAVE: WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
Tuesday 28th May 2013

Wednesday 5th June 2013 is World Environment Day (WED), an annual event that encourages persons to take positive action towards protecting the environment. This year the issue is food wastage.

The Environment Division will be challenging all citizens and residents to take action and make a considerable effort to observe World Environment Day. Everyone has a part to play. Consider buying local produce rather than foods that have been flown across the world to reduce green house gas emissions.

Support our local economy and for World Environment Day, Think Local. Eat Local. Save and Reduce your food print.
