WARRIORS CUP 2013 PROMISES ANOTHER EXCITING TOURNAMENT
Friday 26th July 2013

Organisers say they have been planning to deliver another exciting tournament as interests from clubs and teams for the eighth edition of the Warriors Cup, summer’s best soccer tournament, which will be staged in Antigua and Barbuda during August and September.

Several clubs have already confirmed their participation for the August 8-September 8 event and more are expected to do so within the coming week.

Registration deadline for the Youth Cup which will involve U10, U12, U14 and U16 age groups closes on July 31 while teams taking part in the Championship Cup will have until August 15 to do so.

The Youth Cup takes place from August 8-18 while the Championship Cup runs from August 25-Sept. 8.

The Youth Development Camp, which comprises coaching and lifestyle seminars for boys and girls aged between 10 and 17 years, will be held from August 19-24.

Venues under consideration for the hosting the tournament are the John Hughes playing field, Mack Pond in All Saints, Old Road and English Harbour. Following the completion of registration the venues will be confirmed.

“The Warriors Cup and its ancillary activities provide an ideal platform for the nurturing and development of young talent and minds,” says Colin James, president of the Young Warriors Football Club which organizes the tournament
