ANTIGUA & BARBUDA TENNIS ASSOCIATION

Wilson Cotecc Junior Circuit 2013 and XXII Copa Merengue ITF Junior Circuit kicked off Saturday with the East Part Tennis Centre in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic coming to life with the Under 14 round robin qualifiers and Under 18 boys qualifiers; Over 208 players with nine countries in the Under 14 category and twenty-three countries in the Under 18 category.

 
The day started slow for team Antigua with Cordell Williams Jr. going down to Venezuelan Alexander Tammaro 1-4, 2-4. Justin Marcano soon followed with his loss to Luis Apostolo of El Salvador 0-4, 0-4.

Williams soon turned this around in his second round robin match against Sebastian Penago of Honduras whom he defeated 4-2, 4-2.

Under 18 players Noah Peters and D’Jeri Raymond commence play on Monday 29th July, 2013 at the start of main draw play, where they have both secured a main draw spot.
 
As our under 14 players continue to battle through the round robin phase, we continue to encourage them in their development.
