It was a delight to see so many people on the beach so early yesterday at Dickenson Bay Bash. Vendors and sponsors along with the bars and restaurants along the beach provided a huge choice of entertainment, DJ’s, and live bands.
Families came out early and stayed until late into the night to enjoy this favourite beach lime that is back after a two year relocation to Fort James.
It wasn’t just the Antiguan’s that were smiling but the boat crews too, who after preparing their boats for the sail today, caught water taxi’s back on to the beach and enjoyed the food and drink on offer along the mile long stretch of beach.
At the Halcyon end steel pan entertained the crowd from the Warri Pier, Wadadli Riders served up their signature surf at Sneaky Pete’s and Itchy Feet followed by Tian Winter and Nu Edition were live and direct from Tony’s.
Further down the beach at Sandals Grande Resort a D.J. booth from 1pm until midnight provided the sounds to keep heads nodding, and down at The Beach Restaurant and Coconut Grove more D.J’s and a live band were on hand to get the crowds up dancing.
Last but not least, the Carib Girls arrived and walked the beach promising to be back tonight at Jolly Harbour and at the parties for the rest of the week.
